Voting is not only your civic right, but it is your civic duty.

Participating in elections is one of the key freedoms of American life. Many people worldwide do not have the same freedom, nor did many Americans in centuries past. No matter what you believe or whom you support, it is important to exercise your rights.

What is a

Councilman?

A city councilman is a public official elected to represent a ward or district of a city that serves on the municipal governing body, known as a city council.

The responsibilities of a city council member generally involve making decisions in the public interest; determining city government and administration policies.  They have the authority to pass municipal ordinances and budgets, adopt legislation, vote on various zoning matters, and oversee city agencies and programs to determine if and how money is being budgeted optimally.
